England is already trailing by 0-1 in the series. There is a lot of cricket left to be played, at the start of this game present the cheer is in the India camp and the gloom is in England's.
England won the test and elected to bat first. Alastair Cook, desperate for a win, got his form back on the day 1 of the third test. He missed his century be getting out at 95 but made England's position strong by adding adding 158 runs with Ballance for the second wicket putting England in a very comfortable position. The first day was very touch for Dhoni and his team when a lot of plans did not work out. India can only hope that tomorrow that changes. India will need to bat big as and when they get chance.

Ravindra Jadeja's counter attacking fifty took India's lead over England beyond 300. Vijay missed century and was out for 95. Cook took a brilliant catch to get Binny out for zero. The balance shifted in England favor again after three quick wickets in the fist session. Jadeja and B Kumar came together at that point and launched a counter attach which put the game back in India's balance.
England stumbled while chasing 319 for winning the match. England was looking good at 1/70 but three quick wickets of Ballance, Bell, and Cook resulted in England crashing down at 4/72. England survived further scare and closed the day at 4/105 without losing any more batsmen. The game has shifted in favor of India and it looks unlikely that England will score the remaining 214 runs on the 4th day.

England was all out on 319 and had a first-innings lead of 24. Plunkett hit an half century and stayed not out at the end of first inning. England had a go at India for 15 minutes before lunch but Indian batsmen survived and reduced the deficit to 13 at end of the session. Cook continued the bad phase by getting out cheaply at 10.
The highlights of the day were a superb hundred for Ballance and some lovely bowling from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. England were 4/211 at some point and seemed to be running away with the game when two quick wickets were taken by India tilting the balance even.
