India vs England Test 3 Day 1

England reach 247/2 at the end of first day!

England is already trailing by 0-1 in the series. There is a lot of cricket left to be played, at the start of this game  present the cheer is in the India camp and the gloom is in England's.

England won the test and elected to bat first. Alastair Cook, desperate for a win, got his form back on the day 1 of the third test. He missed his century be getting out at 95 but made England's position strong by adding adding 158 runs with Ballance for the second wicket putting England in a very comfortable position. Gary Ballance is still going strong at 104 reaching his third test century.

The first day was very touch for Dhoni and his team when a lot of plans did not work out. India can only hope that tomorrow that changes. India will need to bat big as and when they get chance.

India vs England Test 2 Day 5

India wins by 95 runs!

England was all out for 223. Ishant Sharma took 7 wickets to help India win at Lord's after 28 long years. He leads the triumphant team off the field. This India's first oversees win after three years. This test had more twists and turns than any other recent tests.
Joe Root and Moeen Ali's century stand raises England's hopes of chasing 319 to beat India. England was still in the reasonable good condition at 173-5 going into lunch. Moeen Ali was done in by the short ball from Ishant and fell on the last ball before lunch. The stand between Moeen and Root was worth 101 runs. One Ali fell, India kept getting wickets at regular intervals until it was all over.

If England had won today then it would have been the second highest chase in a Lord's Test.

India vs England Test 2 Day 4

Ravindra Jadeja's counter attacking fifty took India's lead over England beyond 300. Vijay missed century and was out for 95. Cook took a brilliant catch to get Binny out for zero. The balance shifted in England favor again after three quick wickets in the fist session. Jadeja and B Kumar came together at that point and launched a counter attach which put the game back in India's balance.

England stumbled while chasing 319 for winning the match. England was looking good at 1/70 but three quick wickets of Ballance, Bell, and Cook resulted in England crashing down at 4/72. England survived further scare and closed the day at 4/105 without losing any more batsmen. The game has shifted in favor of India and it looks unlikely that England will score the remaining 214 runs on the 4th day.

India vs England Test 2 Day 3

England was all out on 319 and had a first-innings lead of 24. Plunkett hit an half century and stayed not out at the end of first inning. England had a go at India for 15 minutes before lunch but Indian batsmen survived and reduced the deficit to 13 at end of the session. Vijay was extremely cautious and did not score a single run when lunch was called. India moved into a comfortable position just when Plunkett took two wickets on two consecutive balls. India worked hard for rest of the day to end the day with even.

India ended the day at 169/4 with a lead of 145 runs. India is not completely out of trouble and the morning session on day four is going to be very crucial.

India vs England Test 2 Day 2

Gary Ballance's century helps England reach 219-6 in reply to India's 295 on day two of the second Test at Lord's. England is trailing by 76 at the end of the day. Earlier in the morning England did not have to spend much time cleaning up the last Indian wicket wrapping up the Indian first inning at 295.

Cook continued the bad phase by getting out cheaply at 10.

The highlights of the day were a superb hundred for Ballance and some lovely bowling from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. England were 4/211 at some point and seemed to be running away with the game when two quick wickets were taken by India tilting the balance even.
